The Charlton House Black Mulberry is thought to date from between 1607-1611 when the house was built.
In a podcast just released, Doug Still, founder and producer of USA-based This Old Tree, talks to Morus Londinium's Peter Coles,  Greenwich Royal Heritage Trust trustee, Dr Stella Butler, Head Gardener, Jason Sylvan and horticultural volunteer, Kathy Aitken. Between them they unravel the fascinating history of this veteran tree, one of the oldest mulberries in London and one of the city's Great Trees.
