Webster has a photo of a large old black mulberry in front of the conference centre, with branches propped up. In 1920 it was "in a wonderful state of health". It was 35 ft high, 6'4" in girth at a yard and with a branch spread of "no less than 60 feet" , which was "probably unique for a Mulberry". An estate was built on the site the 1960s Disappeared WWII bomb or 1960s development?
