There was an old tree here and I hope still is. Was possibly left from the Woodford Hall estate. [ed: in fact it's Wanstead Hall. Malford Grove runs right through the grounds of Wanstead House. Dates to middle ages, rebuilt in 1700s and demolished in 1820s.
