Next to Killick's newly-restored, working windmill opposite Meopham Green on the main road from Meopham station, Could be about the same age as the Mill - which was built soon after 1819,. There is a split in the trunk and one stem is now propped. The crown was reduced in 2024. The tree is in good health, is bearing fruit in 2025 . The tree is owned by Kent County Council but the land is leased to the Meopham Windmill Trust on a 1000-year lease. Celebrated 17th century gardener John Tradescantia the Elder lived in Pittfield Cottage (opposite) until 1625. His son John was born here and baptised in the parish church.
