This large tree was in the back garden of neighbours in the 1960s. It was already half on the ground. It was a nigra because I can remember the staining on our mouths, hands and clothes. I notice you already have a mulberry marked for the church just up the Vineyard. I think it possible there is also one in the large garden on the church side of Patten Alley. As you said you lived in Ham, maybe worth just trying the house which is no 9 to see if it’s still there. The house had a name but can’t remember it. Next to a row of 18th century terraced houses. Was there also one in the almshouses at the back? Long gone I think. I don’t have much further info, but can be contacted at c.m.brunsdon Happy mulberry hunting!
